Choose what matters most, or keep it balanced. We pick a session in every block for you and tag it “Picked for you”. Pin the ones you want to keep, or pick your own: pinned sessions never move, and we re-balance the rest around them.

You're an adult; this isn't middle school. Change what's suggested today, or on the day the app will tell you where to go and what else you could go to.

MACHINING SUMMIT 2027 · PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT, WAIVER AND RELEASE
G28 LLC · Tehachapi, California · g28.io

Please read this. It is written in plain English on purpose, and it is a real agreement. By typing your name and ticking the box, you are signing it. If you are registering a guest, they must sign their own copy before they take part in anything.

1. WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR
The Machining Summit runs April 12–15, 2027 in Mammoth Lakes, California, with optional half-day workshops on Friday April 16. It includes indoor sessions and outdoor activities: skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, guided fly fishing, outdoor receptions, and ground transport between airports, hotels, venues and the mountain. Mammoth sits at about 8,000 feet, and April weather there ranges from spring sun to winter storms.

2. YOU CHOOSE WHAT TO DO
Every activity is optional. You decide whether to take part in anything, and you can stop at any time. You are responsible for choosing activities that fit your health, fitness, skills and experience, and for telling our guides or staff if you are unsure.

3. THE RISKS ARE REAL, AND YOU ACCEPT THEM
Snow sports, snowmobiling, river fishing, cold weather, high altitude and mountain roads carry real risks, including falls, collisions, avalanches, changing snow and ice, hidden rocks and trees, lift and equipment failures, deep or fast water, slippery banks, hypothermia, altitude sickness, vehicle accidents, and the actions of other people, including other guests, the public and third-party operators. These risks can lead to property damage, serious injury, permanent disability or death. Some risks cannot be removed no matter how careful anyone is. By signing, you knowingly and freely accept all of these risks, known and unknown, whether or not they are listed here.

4. YOU RELEASE G28 FROM CLAIMS
To the fullest extent California law allows, you release and agree not to sue G28 LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, volunteers, partners and sponsors (together, "G28") for any claim, loss, injury, damage, cost or expense that arises from your participation in the Summit or travel connected with it, including claims based on G28's own ordinary negligence. This release does not cover gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or anything the law does not allow you to waive. It covers you, and it binds your family, heirs, estate and anyone acting on your behalf.

5. YOU WILL COVER CLAIMS YOU CAUSE
If your actions cause injury, damage or a claim against G28, a venue, an outfitter or another person, you agree to pay those costs, including reasonable legal fees.

6. THIRD PARTIES RUN THE ACTIVITIES
Mammoth Mountain, the fishing and snowmobile outfitters, rental shops, hotels, restaurants and shuttle companies are independent businesses. They will usually ask you to sign their own agreements, and their rules apply when you are with them. G28 does not control them and is not responsible for their acts, omissions, equipment or facilities.

7. MEDICAL CARE AND INSURANCE
You confirm that you are physically able to take part in the activities you choose and that you have no condition that makes them unsafe for you. If you are injured or ill and cannot speak for yourself, you authorize G28 and its contractors to arrange emergency medical care and transport, and you agree to pay for it. G28 does not provide health, accident, travel or equipment insurance. We strongly recommend you carry your own, including coverage for mountain rescue and trip cancellation.

8. GEAR, LIFT TICKETS AND RENTALS
Lift tickets and rentals bought through your pass are issued by Mammoth Mountain and its rental partners on their terms. You are responsible for using equipment correctly, wearing a helmet for snow sports and snowmobiling, and returning rented gear on time and undamaged. Lost or damaged rentals are charged to you.

9. ALCOHOL AND CONDUCT
Alcohol is served at some evening events. You must be 21 or older to drink, and you are responsible for your own choices. Do not drive, ride a snowmobile, ski or board under the influence. The Summit is a professional event: we expect everyone to be respectful and safe. G28 may refuse entry or remove anyone who is disruptive, unsafe or disrespectful, with no refund.

10. SHUTTLES AND TRAVEL
G28 arranges shuttles between airports, hotels and venues as a convenience. Times may change with weather and road conditions. G28 is not responsible for missed flights, delays, or costs caused by weather, road closures or other things outside its control. Your own travel to and from the airports, and your lodging, are your responsibility.

11. PHOTOS, VIDEO AND YOUR NAME
G28 takes photos and video throughout the week for the Summit app, community updates and promotion of G28 and future events. By attending, you give G28 permission to use your image, voice, name, company and title in that material, in any medium, without payment. If you do not want to appear, tell us before the event starts and let the photographer know on site; we will do our best to respect it.

12. PAYMENT, REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS
Your pass is paid in full when you register. Refunds: cancel on or before December 31, 2026 for a full refund less card processing fees; from January 1 to February 28, 2027 for a 50% refund; on or after March 1, 2027 there are no refunds for any reason, including not attending. You may transfer your pass to someone else who works in manufacturing, machining or engineering: passes with lift tickets or rentals must be transferred by March 29, 2027 (14 days before the Summit), all other passes by April 9, 2027 (72 hours before). Email registrations@g28.io to transfer. Partner, Fresh Tracks and Media passes follow the terms you were given with them.

13. IF WE HAVE TO CANCEL
If G28 cancels or shortens the Summit because of severe weather, natural disaster, venue closure, government order, public health emergency or another event outside its control, you will receive a full credit toward a future G28 event. If you prefer a cash refund, G28 may deduct up to $250 per pass for costs it cannot recover. G28 is not responsible for your travel or lodging costs in that case. G28 may change speakers, sessions, venues and activities as needed.

14. YOUR INFORMATION
G28 collects the information you give us to run the Summit: registration, payment, activity sizes, travel, and emergency contact. We share it only with the venues, outfitters and transport providers who need it to serve you, and with partners only if you opt in. Our privacy policy is at g28.io.

15. THE LEGAL PART
This agreement is governed by California law. Any dispute will be handled only in the state or federal courts in Kern County, California, and you agree to that venue. If any part of this agreement is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. This is the whole agreement about these topics between you and G28, and it replaces any earlier waiver you signed for this event, including on RegFox. You agree that your typed name and tick are your electronic signature and have the same effect as a handwritten one.

16. YOUR CONFIRMATION
By signing you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, you have read and understood this agreement, you had the chance to ask questions, you are signing it freely, and you know you are giving up legal rights, including the right to sue G28 for ordinary negligence.
